ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Tuxedo Park man charged in the death of his father has pleaded guilty.
The Orange County District Attorney's office said Jesse Green, 30, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for the death of his father and second-degree assault for injuring his mother.
Jesse Green was arrested last summer after his mother, Jacqueline Green, called police claiming to be a victim of domestic violence. When police arrived to the home, they found Mrs. Green with cuts and bruises to her head, as well as the body of her husband, Daniel Green. The investigation led to the arrest of their son for murder.
The DA said this was a difficult case because the crucial witness was the mother.
Green is expected to be sentenced to 25 years in prison for the manslaughter charge and five years for the assault charge. Sentencing is scheduled for June 13. Green remains in Orange County Jail.
