FISHKILL, N.Y. -- TV comes to real life as the popular children's character, Bob the Builder comes to a water park in Fishkill.
Splash Works officially opened at SplashDown Beach. The Bob the Builder themed spray and play area includes Bob's tool shed play structure, two slides, tipping buckets and much more.
The General Manager of SplashDown Beach says the new attraction is geared towards kids ages 1 to 5.
"The idea has always been bigger, faster and more extreme, trying to gear towards teenagers and an adult market. Recently, we are taking a step back and trying to engage our younger crowds and young families at the water park,” said Andrew Chafatelli, general manager of SplashDown Beach.
There is also a life-sized Bob costumed character where children can pose for pictures.
