MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- The Pets Alive Animal Sanctuary in Middletown has received three new vehicles to help their animal rescue operations.

The Hertz Corporation made the donation, with employees from the company's New Jersey headquarters driving up two passenger vans and a pickup truck.

Staff hope the vehicles will help save more animals.

"We can transport animals around here we always have the need for pickup trucks for a variety of reasons. We can get our volunteers and staff to events, off side events. A lot of the times we can't even go to events if we don't have enough room for all of the animals to get there. So it has always been a challenge," said Kerry Clair, Executive Director of Pets Alive.

Pets Alive operates solely on donations.
