Jail release for 'Monroe Madam' postponed
NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The Monroe woman accused of running a high-end prostitution ring out of a New York City apartment will have to wait at least another day before being released on bail.
Anna Gristina was expected to obtain a $250,000 bond secured by the deed on her lawyer's own apartment.
However, her lawyer says they will be back in court on Tuesday to consider a reworked deal.
It's expected to include a requirement that Gristina wear an electronic monitoring bracelet.
A State Supreme Court judge ordered her bail reduced from $2 million last week.
Prosecutors say Gristina ran a high-end prostitution ring out of an Upper East Side apartment.
If convicted, the mother of four faces up to seven years in prison.
