HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- A movie creating some buzz about Hyde Park and its most famous native is in select theaters Friday, but folks in the Hudson Valley will have to wait a few more weeks to catch "Hyde Park on Hudson" on the big screen.
The film features actor and comedian Bill Murray in the role of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt just before World War II when he played host to the first ever visit by a reigning English King and Queen.
The film is shot through the eyes of FDR's neighbor and possible mistress, Daisy Suckley, played by Laura Linney.
The screenplay was written by Rhinebeck resident Richard Nelson.
"Hyde Park on Hudson" hits theaters nationwide on December 21st.
