COLUMBIA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Santa himself made a stop in Columbia County. It's an annual tradition in the Village of Valatie.
The Valatie Santa Claus Club started back in 1946.
Organizers say they plan to pass out more than 500 gifts to kids this year.
"Just to see the faces and the happiness when they see Santa. That is what we like to see. It is very rewarding," said Angelo Nero, a Santa Claus Club member.
The group was started by 15 men who wanted to give gifts to the poor.
