Videojournalist

John Wagner joined the YNN team in August 2011. He is a general assignment reporter and will spend much of his time covering Dutchess County. John comes to the Hudson Valley from NY1 News in New York City where he worked as a cameraman/field producer.

John also spent time as a videographer/editor at Fios 1 News in New Jersey and previously interned with WABC's political unit and NBC News Partnerships in NYC--and WNWO, the NBC affiliate in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the The King's College, located in NYC.

While at NY1, John covered a variety of breaking news, morning features, and sporting events. He loves the "something new every day" lifestyle of reporting.

Born and raised in a small Ohio town--he is an avid fan of Cleveland sports teams and Ohio State. In his downtime, John enjoys playing recreational sports and spending time in quaint upstate villages.
