CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. -- It's now time for YNN to honor our Kid of the Week. This week the title goes to eight-year-old Drew Pangburn of Amsterdam.

Drew is a third grader who is receiving a CARES award, also called Cooperation, Attitude, Responsibility, Everyone Cares and Self-Discipline award. Drew is receiving the award for taking it upon himself to help another student in his class who has a hearing impairment. Drew makes sure his classmate is always on the correct page and makes sure he's always up to speed when he returns from his special assistance classes.

For your generosity and selflessness Drew, you are this week’s Kid of the Week.
