POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Edwin Ubiles had a taste of the NBA earlier this season when he saw time with the Washington Wizards and now the Poughkeepsie native is hoping to make a trip to the Olympics.

Ubiles has been named to the Puerto Rican National team along with former Siena teammate Alex Franklin.

The team will play in a tournament at the beginning of July in Venezuela along with 11 other countries. The top three finishers are off to the Olympics. Nine countries, including the United States, have already qualified for the London games.
