Saturday morning the Port Jervis softball team honored the two founding fathers of their storied program.
The Lady Red Raiders officially named their diamond the "Spangenberg-Rollman softball field". Hugh Spangenberg was Port's first-ever coach and started the program back in 1974. George Rollman took over in 1982, carrying on a winning tradition.
Between them, they have two state titles, four section nine titles and 319 wins to just 90 losses. Both men were please to share the dedication.
