If you take a peek outside, you may notice the moon looks bigger and brighter than usual. That's because it is actually the closest it's been to the earth in about 18-years.

They call it a super "Perigee Moon". That's when the moon reaches the closest possible point of its orbit around the earth, which is about 212,000 miles away.

NASA says the moon will appear 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than usual, and catch it while you can because if you miss it, you'll have to wait until 2029 to see it again.
