KINGSTON, N.Y. -- Kingston Land Trust has received a grant from the National Park Service.

The National Park Service's Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance program is providing help to fund the Kingston Rail Trail Connections project. The project works to improve existing rail trails and drainage problems.

The Executive Director of the Kingston Land Trust, Rebecca Martin, says she is honored to receive the support.

"This to me is a transformational project, just with the rail projects alone. The idea of a mid-town hub which would allow visitors and residents to move in and out of the city freely. It is very exciting and an economic development driver," Martin said.

Fifty-two projects in 13 states received grants from the program.
