NEW YORK -- State police will be conducting a Distracted and Aggressive Driving Enforcement Detail Wednesday on Interstate 87. Troopers will look for drivers showing aggressive behaviors behind the wheel, which includes speeding, unsafe lane changes, and people who use their cell phones without a hands-free device.

Police plan to issue tickets and informational pamphlets to drivers.

Information from the Institute for Traffic Safety Management and Research has shown that 86 percent of crashes last year involving trucks also involved another car or pedestrian.
