SARATOGA, N.Y. -- One of the few remaining members of the fabled Tuskegee Airmen passed away Friday in Saratoga Springs.
Clarence Dart flew 95 missions with Tuskegee Airman during World War II. He was shot down twice, receiving Two Purple hearts during his decorated career.
Dart went on to receive five Distinguished Flying Crosses, the New York State conspicuous service cross, and service star. And just last year, he was inducted into the State Senate's Veterans Hall of Fame.
Dart often spoke in schools all across the state, helping educate students about Black History.
He was 91 years old.
