ALBANY, N.Y. -- A discussion over the "cabaret law" in Albany will have to wait another week.
City councilman Richard Conti tweeted Wednesday night that the new ordinance will be discussed next Wednesday.
Conti said it's because more discussion is needed about how to apply the ordinance to churches.
It does propose an annual fee to businesses that host live music and host more than 500 people. An already existing law requires businesses to apply for a zoning variance, and pay a one-time fee of $125.
