TROY, N.Y. -- Troy police arrest a man they say threatened a store clerk with a large kitchen knife.

They said on Sunday night, Kevin Pooler, 22, of Clifton Park walked into LeBeau’s grocery wearing a mask an carrying a kitchen knife. Police said the clerk did not back down and Pooler took off with no cash and eight packs of cigarettes.

Officers interviewed several witnesses including Pamela Richardson, 32, of Troy. They were suspicious and decided to follow her. Police spotted Richardson a short time later being picked up in a car they thought was used in the robbery. That car was driven by Pooler and inside was a mask and stolen goods.

Pooler was arrested and charged with Robbery and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. Richardson was also arrested and charged with robbery.
