HUDSON VALLEY N.Y. -- The high temperatures are bringing about some potentially dangerous conditions.

Children, seniors and people with health conditions, including asthma, are advised to be extra cautious.

The New York State Department of Health advises against engaging in any strenuous activity outdoors. Wearing lightweight and loose-fitting clothing is also suggested.

Even with the heat, there were some folks out exercising on Tuesday, but making sure to remain hydrated.

"It's not just the heat, it's the humidity and it wears on you. But again, you got to be safe, you got to be able to stop and be able to get fluids when you need it," one person said.

Other warm weather tips include making sure not to leave children or pets in cars.
