FALLSBURG, N.Y. -- A Sullivan County man will spend six and a half years behind bars after police arrested him with a sawed-off shotgun last year. Randy Thomas, 31, was sentenced to six and a half years in state prison plus five years of post-release supervision.

Police responded to a 911 call last December reporting shots fired at the Hilldale Dorm Complex in Fallsburg. When they arrived on the scene, police found Thomas with the shotgun.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Thomas has a criminal history. He was convicted of criminal mischief in the third degree for a separate incident in 2005.
