SUFFERN, N.Y. -- After two days of public meetings on the Tappan Zee replacement project, the state is now looking at proposals for the work.
The Thruway Authority received three proposals for building the new replacement bridge on Friday. The three proposals, which comprise an estimated 750,000 pages, came from a number of different construction companies including the Tappan Zee Bridge Partners.
The proposals will now be reviewed to see if they are suitable, a process that is expected to take four weeks. Officials said that procress will be as open and transparent as federal procurement law will allow.
