Former Olympian with Kingston ties dies in Arizona plane crash
UNITED STATES -- A former Olympian with a local tie has died in a plane crash. According to CNN, a plane belonging to Pat Porter crashed in Sedona, Arizona.
Three people were inside the plane when it crashed and all three were killed.
Porter is a two time Olympian and eight time U.S. cross country champion. He competed in the 10,000 meter race in both the 1984 and 1988 Olympics.
Porter was also a two time champion of the 10K Kingston Classic.
Porter's wife, Trish, was also an Olympian. She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
