ALBANY, N.Y. -- A mess of broken glass was left behind after 10 cars were broken into Monday night and early Tuesday morning in Washington Park. That makes 29 break-ins in the park-area since June 1st.

Albany police say they're taking GPS units and spare change, iPods and bags left behind that may contain electronics or even textbooks that can be sold.

Police say they scanned other areas near where the 10 break-ins happened and found several unlocked doors and expensive devices visible through the window.

"The suspects are walking ground, pulling on handles. There have been instances where they're smashing the windows out and grabbing handles as well," said Albany Police Spokesperson Steve Smith.

Police say they have no leads on possible suspects, but remind drivers to lock their doors, roll up windows and keep any valuable items out of the car.
