Police searching for motorcycle passenger involved in accident

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Town of Poughkeepsie Police are searching for a passenger involved in a motorcycle accident that left a pedestrian seriously injured.

Police say the incident happened just before midnight last Saturday on Fairview Avenue. They say Daniel Rodriguez, 26, was driving a motorcycle and hit a 22-year-old woman. An unknown passenger fled from the scene after the crash.

The woman is being treated for several broken bones and other injuries.

Rodriguez was treated for facial injuries and a concussion. The motorcycle he was driving was reported stolen from New Jersey in 2010.

Rodriguez has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property. He was also issued tickets for no insurance, reckless driving and having an unregistered motor vehicle.
