Five arrested after home invasion

COLUMBIA COUNTY, N.Y. -- State Police respond to a home invasion around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, also in Columbia County.
State Police say five people forced their way into a home in the Town of Stuyvesant, bound residents with duct tape and then stole items from their home. They also say one of the intruders was armed with a knife.
Columbia County Sheriff's deputies searched the area and located five men:
- Bobby Smith, 20
- Jeremy Cobbins, 24
- Miguel Alcarez, 20
- Joseph Speed, 26
- Frederick Williams, 23
All five men are from Hudson and were arrested and charged with burglary. All five were sent to Columbia County Jail without bail.
State Police say Williams was additionally charged with reckless endangerment for attempting to hit a responding Columbia County Sheriff's Deputy with his vehicle.
