LONDON, U.K. -- Newburgh Free Academy graduate Samyr Laine made it to the triple jump finals, but finished second to last.
Samyr Laine, 28, represented Haiti, the country where his parents were born.
There was at least some good news for the U.S. during Laine's final round disappointment. Americans Christian Taylor and William Claye finished with a gold and silver medal respectively.
