ALBANY, N.Y. -- The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering offered a glimpse into the future of the nano industry. The school invited the public to a presentation at the University Club in Albany on Thursday.

Chief executive Officer Alain Kaloyeros updated the crowd on the growth of the school and its programs.

CNSE has drawn billions to the area, thanks to investments and support from the state and federal governments.

By 2015, Kaloyeros predicts nano technology will be the leading industry in the world, bigger than tourism, with New York leading the way. He says he believes that the boom in the industry will not only revitalize the Capital Region, but also extend way beyond our borders to help the country stay ahead in the global economy.
