ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Albany County Sheriff's Office has released video of the underground explosion that led to several road closures in downtown Albany on Wednesday.

A manhole cover blew into the air after the explosion on North Pearl Street. The video was taken at Steuben and Chapel streets.

National Grid arrived on the scene and shut off power to the area.

There were high readings of carbon monoxide in the basements of buildings on Pearl between State and Columbia streets, but no reports of injuries.

All affected streets have been re-opened.

Officials said an electrical issue may have caused the blast.
