NEW YORK STATE -- Those affected by Hurricane Sandy will be able to vote anywhere in the state with an affidavit ballot Tuesday.

Governor Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order allowing voters registered in federally declared disaster counties to vote at any poll site in the state, if they are unable to do so at their regular polling place. Those counties are New York, Bronx, Queens, Kings, Nassau, Richmond, Westchester and Suffolk counties.

This will allow anyone to vote in the Presidential race and state wide races. However, anyone who sought refuge outside of their voting district may not be able to vote for local officials.
