ALBANY, N.Y. -- A local store has been fined $14,000 for selling synthetic drugs.

New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says Shining Star on Lark Street in Albany sold mislabeled or unlabeled products, which included synthetic drugs or street drug alternatives known as "designer drugs."

In addition to the $14,000 fine for the owner, the store is also permanently banned from selling the products.

This is the ninth retailer that Schneiderman has won a court order against in New York, to prevent the sale of synthetic drugs.
