SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Wurtsboro man was sentenced for raping and sexually abusing two young girls.

The Sullivan County District Attorney's Office says 68-year-old Herbert Ploschke will spend 17 years in state prison after pleading guilty to two counts of rape, criminal sexual act, and sexual abuse. Ploschke admitted to raping a 13-year-old girl and sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.

He also pleaded guilty in Orange County for abusing the same children and will be sentenced later this month.
