MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- A grand jury has voted to indict a Middletown man on a manslaughter charge in connection with an incident that occurred early Saturday morning.

Kevin Conklin, 23, was arrested after police say they found a 46-year-old New Jersey man unresponsive outside of the West Gate Bar on West Main Street. The man was taken to Orange regional Medical Center, where he later died.

According to Orange County District Attorney Frank Phillips, the crimes in the indictment cannot be discussed until the indictment is handed up to the county court. Phillips says the indictment will not be filed with the court until the week of the 26th.

Conklin remains in the Orange County Jail.
