POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Maybe the next time you head to the bank, you'll think about bringing a toy with you.

Trustco Bank in Poughkeepsie is taking part in the Toys for Tots campaign. They're looking to have people bring in toys to give away to kids. They're even kick starting the drive with $2,000 worth of toys to each bank participating in the promotion.

People at the bank hope to this will help people still recovering from Hurricane Sandy.

“You know there's a lot of people focus in on other needs right now and getting their lives back in order and this Toys for Tots campaign is a way to alleviate some of the stress that comes along with the holiday season by giving toys to their children,” said Adam Roselan, Marketing Officer-TrustCo Bank.

Throughout the upcoming month the bank is offering their own "Trusty" doll to anyone who brings in a toy during the ongoing campaign.
