New Jersey man accused of stealing from elderly woman
ULSTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A New Jersey man was arrested after police say he stole more than $30,000 from an elderly woman in Kingston.
Police say Rasheem Eccleston, 20, was involved in a lottery scam in which he fraudulently received money from the woman under false pretenses. According to police, Eccleston stole approximately $33,000. They say it happened between September 20th to 26th in the City of Kingston.
Eccleston was arraigned on grand larceny charges and taken to Ulster County Jail on $50,000 bail.
