ULSTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Looking to avoid the crowded congestion at the malls this Friday? Ulster County Executive Mike Hein says there's events for the whole family around town that will help keep people busy this weekend.

The Kingston Professional Firefighters Annual Tree Lighting at Academy Green Park is Friday. The event is from 6 to 8 p.m.

The annual Sinterklaas Celebration is also being held November 23rd through the 24th in Kingston. The yearly event honors the Dutch heritage of the Hudson Valley, featuring a parade on lower Broadway.
