SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Heading into their state championship game with Sweet Home, the Burnt Hills Spartans shook off any nervousness quickly.

In their third state title match up Sweet Home, Burnt Hills finally broke through, taking a commanding 26 to nothing lead by half time. They went on to beat Sweet Home 40 to 20, capturing Section II's first state football championship since Amsterdam did it back in 2005.
