ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. -- There is a new charge for the Middletown man already charged in the beating death of a New Jersey man outside a bar last month. Kevin Conklin, 23, is now charged with second-degree manslaughter in addition to first-degree manslaughter.

The charges stem from an incident police say took place in the parking lot of G's Westgate Inn on West Main Street in Middletown. Police say Conklin beat Allan Cardona, 46, to death on the night of November 10th.

Conklin is also charged with assaulting another man in another incident on the same night.
