Mother and son facing animal cruelty charges

SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- An elderly woman and her son are facing animal cruelty charges after a number of animals were found living in deplorable conditions.

Fallsburg Police say Virginia Wagner McCombs, 81, and Donald Wagner, 62, had 21 adult and baby goats, 23 rabbits, four geese, four chickens and two dogs living on their property.

Animal Control says the animals appear to have been fed, but will still be evaluated.

They are facing multiple misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.
