Man arrested on burglary charges
SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- Police arrested a man they say burglarized a convenience store in the Village of Monticello.
Police say it happened on December 2nd around 12:30 p.m. at the Veo Express Lanes store on Forestburg Road. They say Bazeley Burns, 50, pried open a door and stole cash from a register before fleeing the store.
Police say officers found Burns on Tuesday and say they had to use a taser on him when he resisted arrest.
Burns has been charged with burglary, grand larceny, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and possession of burglar’s tools. He is being held in the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
