DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Hudson Valley Renegades held a candlelight vigil at Dutchess Stadium Friday night to remember the victims of the Connecticut shooting.
Many gathered for a night filled with song and prayer. It was a chance for the community to come together and lean on one another during this time of sadness.
This tragedy has many hurting across the country and feeling for those who lost their children.
"You think about did I say I love you before I left? Did I give them a hug? Did I give them a kiss? You wanna make sure they’re safe as well. That’s the first thing that crosses your mind is your own kids and then obviously your thoughts and prayers are with those families as well," said Eben Yager, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Renegades.
The vigil was put on through a combined effort from the Renegades, as well as the local Clear Channel radio station.
