MTA to vote on proposed toll hike

HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- The MTA is expected to vote on a proposed toll hike today. In the proposal, Metro North riders could see a hike of 8.19 percent to 9.3 percent depending on ticket type and the zone.
Tolls for tunnels and bridges operated by the MTA will also be increased. Some of the cash tolls will increase from 50 cents to $2.
