KINGSTON, N.Y. -- The first business meeting was held since the purchase of the Golden Hill Nursing facility. The facility accepted the $11.25 million bid earlier this month from Dr. Anthony Bacchi, Martin Farbenblum and Edward Farbenblum.
The three men have a plan in place for the future of the facility, including the addition of a unit designed to treat patients with Parkinson's disease and a cardio-pulmonary rehab unit. Improvements to Golden Hill's infrastructure are also part of the plan.
But before anything can happen, the buyers have to apply with the state Department of Health in order to run the facility. This process can take anywhere from six to 18 months.
They are optimistic that it will be completed and approved during the 2013 calendar year.
