TROY, N.Y. -- The man accused of fatally stabbing a Schodack woman is indicted on several charges in Rensselaer County Court.

Police say Jason Guynup stabbed Nikki Hart last Sunday at her home. He's charged with murder, burglary, aggravated criminal contempt, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Bri lan Avenue for a domestic dispute. When state police arrived, they say they found Hart had been stabbed in the neck. She was pronounced dead at Albany Memorial Hospital.

Authorities began searching for Guynup, and just a few minutes later, a car crash was reported on Hayes Road in East Greenbush. Police found Guynup nearby on Route 9J, and took him into custody.

He was sent to Rensselaer County Jail without bail.
