VATICAN CITY -- On Christmas Eve, it was a special message of peace from the Vatican. Pope Benedict XVI led the celebration at Saint Peter's Basilica.

The Pope prayed for peace, especially for the Middle East. He also urged people to make space for God, saying that "there is no room left for God'' in our hectic and technology-driven lives.

The Pope will deliver his annual Christmas Day message from the central balcony at St. Peter's Basilica.
