KINGSTON, N.Y. -- The City of Kingston will celebrate its first ever ball drop on New Year’s Eve.

It’s all part of the 1913 celebration as businesses and residents celebrate the history of New York's first capital.

In conjunction with the festivities, Mayor Shane Gallo has announced several traffic restrictions in the Stockade District. Beginning Monday at 7 p.m., there will be no through traffic on Wall Street from John Street to North Front Street, as well as no parking. The restrictions will remain in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday.
