KINGSTON, N.Y. -- While the snow may cause some problems for drivers, some are taking advantage of the fresh snow fall.

Families were out enjoying the weather in Kingston. For some, it's the perfect escape following the hectic holiday shopping season.

"It's definitely a break from the crazy Christmas shopping and it's nice to be out here with friends and have a chance to do something that's free and fun," said Kingston resident Katie Litteral.

With little snowfall last winter, many were just happy to get outside in the snow again.
