KINGSTON, N.Y. -- The two firefighters injured fighting a four alarm fire in Kingston Saturday night continue to recover. Both were injured when they had to escape from a window at a home on Franklin Street after they were trapped on the second floor.

Thomas Metzger, a thirteen year veteran of the force, fractured his left wrist and elbow. He spent the night in the hospital and is now at home. The fire chief says Metzger will need extensive treatment and will be out of work for an extended period of time.

Brian Renn, who has been a member of the Kingston Fire Department for nine-and-a-half years, had a collapsed lung. He was released from the hospital Sunday afternoon, and is now recovering at home. The chief doesn't know when he'll be able to return to work.
