HUDSON VALLEY -- The latest state basketball rankings show a number of Section IX teams sitting pretty high up on the ladder.

On the boys' side in Class B, Marlboro is currently ranked fifth in the state. The Dukes are 5-0 on the season. This is their second time in the top five this year.

In Class C, the Pine Plains Bombers are ranked second in the state. The Bombers are 6-2 on the season and have not left the number two spot so far this year.

On the girls side, two teams have cracked the top five. The Wallkill girls are sitting at second in the state in Class A. The Panthers are a perfect 9-0 to start the year.

Also in Class A, the Coleman Catholic girls are ranked fifth in the state with a 4-0 record.
