POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Six people have been arrested following an ongoing investigation. City of Poughkeepsie police asked the public for help following a string of burglaries during the holidays. Six homes were burglarized between Christmas Day and January 2nd.

As a result of the public's help, Joshua Lee, 32, John Forester, 47, Freddy Anderson, 50, Jose Young, 38, Antonio Santiago, 53, and Sara Rifenburgh, 28, were all arrested in connection with the burglaries. Each suspect is facing several charges, and more people are expected to be arrested.

Some of the stolen items, including jewelry, coins and a bicycle, have been recovered.
