Registration opens Saturday for Boilermaker
UTICA, N.Y. -- It draws thousands of runners to the Mohawk Valley each summer, and if you're thinking about running in this year's Boilermaker Road Race, you may want to sign up early.
Registration opens Saturday at 12:01 a.m. online, and spots are expected to fill up fast. The field for the 15k race is once again being capped at 14,000 runners, and the 5k race is being bumped up to 4,500.
Last year, the 15k race sold out in just over two months, with the 5k filling up shortly after.
It costs $40 to register for the 15k and $30 for the 5k. There will be no paper application available.
