Sheriff's office arrests a "main player" in local drug trade
MONTICELLO, N.Y. -- The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office has made another arrest in the ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the county.

Angel Mulero, 34, of Monticello was wanted by the sheriff's Gang Intelligence Unit in connection with heroin sales in the Monticello area. Mulero was spotted by a deputy near the intersection of Anawana Lake Road and State Route 42 in the Town of Thompson shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday. He was taken into custody without incident.

The sheriff described Mulero as one of the main players in the local drug trade. He is charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He is being held at the Sullivan County Jail.
