ULSTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A body shop owner has been arrested after Ulster County Sheriff's deputies say he tried to keep a car he was working on after his business went under.

Deputies say Adam Benson, 38, of Saugerties, got a check from an insurance company back in 2011 to complete body work and painting on a car. When the car owner tried to contact Benson, he eventually learned that Benson's business had closed.

Deputies located the car this past November and it was finally returned to its owner.

Benson has been charged with third degree grand larceny and third degree insurance fraud, both felonies.
